Courses for Children
When an employee is expatriated, his or her children can often benefit from an introductory course in the relevant language. For Danes moving abroad, this language is most often English, although we have received and met requests for a variety of other languages.
BLS has teachers with many years’ experience in teaching children and young people in preparation for a move overseas, and one of our main areas of focus is making sure that the lessons are not only effective, but also fun and positive.
We prepare these courses in close collaboration with the parents as well as, when relevant, the schools which the children will be attending. We can also consult with current schools in Denmark if language classes are already under way there. We can help prepare children for any tests they may be expected to sit before being offered a place in an international school.
We are very aware of how important it is that children’s first experience of a new language is a positive one, and a course with BLS will always provide fond memories. Many of the children and families who have received courses from BLS stay in contact with the teachers for a long time after the course is finished.
