Danish for Swedes
Swedes learning Danish are faced with different challenges from those of other nationalities. The two languages are closely connected, and much of the vocabulary and grammar systems are identical or very similar. However, it is still difficult for many Danes and Swedes to completely understand each other. The biggest obstacle is often pronunciation.
During this course, we will work on "Danifying" your Swedish language. We will focus on perfecting your pronunciation so that Danes can more easily understand your spoken communication. Common issues include the soft d sound and the vowels. At the same time, we will use reading comprehension and conversation training to convert the uniquely Swedish words into their Danish equivalents. We will also work on the areas of grammar which differ. During the course you will find that it becomes easier and easier to understand Danish - in the written and the spoken forms - and that the Danes around you will find it easier to understand you.
