Intensive Courses

An intensive course is typically aimed at participants who struggle to find a regular timeslot for a traditional, long-term course spread over several months, or those who need an immediate boost to their language skills.  Whether you are a beginner or improver, we will create a course which precisely matches your current level and needs.

We will begin with a meeting to evaluate your level of Danish and to discuss your aims for the course.  These could be, for example improving your spoken fluency, your grammatical competency, or any of a very wide range of other priorities.  We will put together a tailor-made programme to fulfil your requirements.

An example of an intensive course could be 30 lessons spread over 5 days (6 lessons per day).  Every day will include a range of activities, for example conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.  In contrast to a traditional long-term course with a single teacher, we would usually recommend that an intensive course programme is divided between two teachers to add more variety.

"I am very happy with the teacher; she can explain and communicate the particularities of the Danish language very well, such as sounds + vowels + etc.; she identifies my individual problems and mistakes and focuses on those to improve. I was surprised how she can open my eyes for the little things that make a difference when learning Danish, and that makes it 'easy' as well."
