Public Sector English

We have experience of working with employees from the public sector.  The focus and design of the course and its contents will be based on your individual needs, but within this area there is typically a need for a general Business English course with an emphasis on the terminology and vocabulary required for a specific role.

An example of an intensive course run for the employees of a Citizen Service Centre (Borgerservice) follows:

Basic Language Review:

Numbers and counting, alphabet and spelling, days, months and dates, time and opening hours.

Customer Service:

Greetings and introductions, asking for help, offering help, being polite, closing and saying goodbye.

Terminology related to:

Accommodation and environment, benefits and subsidies, business and work, family and childcare, health, passports and driving licences, registration and residency, schools and education, tax, traffic and parking.

"Fin plan, der var lagt for undervisningsforløbet - og som blev fulgt. Tilpas fordeling mellem tale og skriftlige øvelser. Jeg synes, det fungerede rigtig godt."
