When language means business

Expatriation from Denmark

For those with the opportunity to work abroad, or maybe just the dream, language and cultural issues can present a big potential barrier.  Thanks largely to modern pop-culture exports, English has established itself as an international language.  So, just how important is it to have mastered the native language of the country you are moving to?

Language is, of course, not the only factor involved in settling in to a new life overseas.  Understanding and becoming a part of the local community and culture is also important, and an introduction to your future country and its customs will certainly help to get you off to a good start as soon as you arrive in your new home.

Here are some of the courses we offer to people who are about to expatriate from Denmark:

"Please indicate anything which you feel could be improved: Nothing. Teaching Danish (because of the difficulty in speaking and understanding spoken Danish) must be extremely challenging and frustrating. Nonetheless, the teacher did a great job at motivating and encouraging us to learn."
