E-learning: Danish for Danes

This type of e-learning course will be useful for people who need to improve their written Danish, but do not have the flexibility required to attend a regular writing course.

We begin by evaluating your current level of written Danish as well as discussing your goals.  For example, is it grammar which is causing the difficulties, or is it more general language usage?  Typical grammatical issues may include endings on adjectives, distinguishing between the present tense and the infinitive (kører/køre) or adverbs.  Differentiating between spoken and written language is often another problematic area as some people have a tendency to write as they speak, resulting in long, abstruse sentences.  Finally, adapting your writing to suit the intended reader is another important skill to develop.

You will regularly send written assignments and tasks to your assigned teacher (by email) who will return them with errors highlighted and explained.  You will then correct these mistakes yourself and return the writing to your teacher for a final check.  Any remaining errors will then be corrected by the teacher and you will be provided with more elaborate explanations.  During the course, you and your teacher may decide that it would be beneficial to meet from time to time to allow for some face-to-face instruction.

"Fin plan, der var lagt for undervisningsforløbet - og som blev fulgt. Tilpas fordeling mellem tale og skriftlige øvelser. Jeg synes, det fungerede rigtig godt."
