When language means business

Danish Punctuation

There are two accepted comma systems in Denmark:  the grammatical comma with and the grammatical comma without a "start comma".   Most people try to use the former system, but Dansk Sprognævn (The Danish Language Council) recommends the latter.  However, the fact is that very few people fully understand or master usage of the grammatical comma.

At this seminar you will learn how and when to use the comma correctly – regardless of which of the two systems you opt for.  We will cover the basics of syntax which will enable you to see where clauses and sentences start and end.  Following this, we will carefully examine the most common problem areas and errors so that you will be able to avoid these pitfalls in the future.  There will also be practice exercises so we can be sure that all mistakes have been eliminated, and you will be provided with clear and accurate written guidelines for future reference.
